Working Dog- Competition (WD-C)
5 points in 2 or more
venue with one venue being 3 points or more.
Working Dog Excellent (WDX-C) 7 points in 2 or more venues
with one venue being 3 points or more.
Comment: In the Agility venue, either count standard class or jumpers, not both.
Working Dog-Service (WD-S)
Option 1: Certified Assistance Dog which has been in service for one year;
including but not limited to Working Guide, Hearing, Service, Rescue or Police
Dog.
Submitted notarized certification from the service organization and the owner/handler.
Acceptable service organizations include, but are not limited to, Guide Dogs for the Blind,
Seeing Eye, Canine Companions for Independence, US Police Canine Association, Paws with
a Cause, and other approved incorporated groups or chartered public agencies
with written standards. A member may request that an organization and/or
individual submit guidelines to the Working Dog Committee for approval.
Option 2: Working Herd Dog which does actual work on a regular basis.
Submitted notarized certification from the rancher, farmer, owner, veterinarian
or other authorized person. Also submit a description of the dog's daily
activities and any unusual or special activities that occurred while in
service. A video would be accepted and encouraged.
Working Dog - Herd (WD-H)
Successfully complete an AKC Herding Intermediate title on any stock or Course.
Option 1: Pass two open/intermediate level trials of the American
Kennel Club, American Herding Breeds Association or the Australian
Sheepdoog Club of America.
